Scholarships and Grants for Central Students
Central scholarships and grants are provided by the generosity of individuals who support Central and its mission.
SEAL Scholarship
Central values students who are active in their communities and demonstrate a commitment to service. The SEAL Scholarship rewards students who volunteer, mentor, and take initiative in leadership roles.
Incoming Students
Up to $10,000 per year
- Service: Residential: $2,000. Commuter and Online: $750.
- Experience: Residential: $2,000. Commuter and Online: $750.
- Academics: Residential: up to $4,000. Commuter and Online: up to $2,000.
- Leadership: Residential: $2,000. Commuter and Online: $750.
How to qualify
- Verify qualifying activities from the previous two years.
- Earn one award in each SEAL category.
- Enroll in 12 or more credit hours.
Service qualifications
- One year of participation in regularly scheduled service
- Mission trip, camp service, church service, community service, or similar activity
Experience qualifications
- At least two seasons of extra-curricular, competitive-level activity
- Bible Bowl, band or choir, theater, athletics, Science Olympiad, Scholar Bowl or Mathletes, military, Reserve, Guard, NexGen Preacher Search top 20, or similar activity
Academics qualifications
- President's Award: high school or college GPA greater than 3.5
- Residential: $4,000. Commuter and Online: $2,000.
- Dean's Award: high school or college GPA greater than 3.0
- Residential: $2,500. Commuter and Online: $1,250.
Leadership qualifications
- Missouri A+ Scholarship Recipient
- One year of service as a leader or officer in student government, 4-H, FBLA, FFA, FCA, scouting, youth group, ROTC, or similar activity
Returning Students
Up to $3,000 per year to add on
- Service: Residential: $1,000. Commuter: $500.
- Experience: Residential: $1,000. Commuter: $500.
- Academics: Residential: up to $4,000. Commuter: up to $2,000.
- Leadership: Residential: $1,000. Commuter: $500.
Important notes
- Returning students must apply each summer.
- Online students are not eligible for returning awards.
- Residency and modality changes affect award amounts.
Service qualifications
- Complete 100 hours of approved Christian service during the academic year
- Local church ministry, traveling worship team, community outreach, or student-led ministry initiatives
Experience qualifications
- Outreach Week trip, NexGen Preacher Search top 20, or chapel reflections, 24 per year and 12 per semester
- Failing two semesters of chapel may result in loss of the award. Appeals and make-up options are available through the Chapel Makeup Form.
Academics qualifications
- President's Award: high school or college GPA greater than 3.5
- Residential: $4,000. Commuter: $2,000.
- Dean's Award: high school or college GPA greater than 3.0
- Residential: $2,500. Commuter: $1,250.
- One academic award adjustment per career.
Leadership qualifications
- Formal leadership role for at least one full academic year
- Student Council, mission trip leader, chapel worship leader, discipler, or camp team leader
Visit Grant
$1,000 Grant
Students may qualify for a $1,000 grant by completing an official campus visit to the Moberly campus.
- Available to high school seniors, spring-semester juniors, or transfer students
- Requires attendance at an official campus visit
- Disbursed equally across 4 semesters at $250 per semester
Endowed Scholarships
Donor-funded awards are awarded at the beginning of each academic year based on academic achievement, need, or other donor criteria.
Go Ye Scholarship
The GoYe International / Refugee Student Fund assists international and refugee undergraduate students with tuition, fees, and on-campus room and board for one academic year.
Back to School Scholarship
Returning adult students and those re-enrolling after a gap may be eligible for the Back to School Scholarship.
External Scholarships & Finding More Aid

Missouri Aid Programs
- Access Missouri: Up to $2,850 per year. Requires a FAFSA by the Missouri priority deadline and full-time enrollment. Learn more.
- Bright Flight: Up to $3,000 per year. Learn more.
Selected Outside Scholarships
- Alexander Christian Foundation: Available in multiple states. Search for your state's chapter.
- Legacy Endowment Fund for Preaching Scholarships: For students committed to full-time pulpit ministry at a Restoration Movement college.
- Ed & Bonnie Smith Memorial Scholarship: For tuition only. Apply at the Financial Aid Office by November 1 for the following fall.
- Lydia's Closet: Applications available from the Financial Aid Office. Deadline June 1.
- Eastern Star Training Awards for Religious Leadership (ESTARL): Applications available from the Financial Aid Office. Deadlines June 15 and November 15.
- Abbott & Fenner: Deadline June 10.
