Housing & Dining Info
Residential life and shared meals are an important part of student formation at Central Bible University. Students grow through everyday rhythms of community, study, worship, meals, and life together on campus.
There is no better way to transition to an independent lifestyle than to start by making Central Bible University your first home away from home. Whether you are attending intramural sports activities, joining study sessions, worshiping with your roommates, or just hanging out, CBU residence halls offer a comfortable atmosphere for living and studying.
Residence Halls
Residence hall living is considered an integral part of the educational experience. Not only does it develop lasting friendships, but it also contributes to academic achievement, interpersonal development, and a better understanding of yourself. Traditional freshmen, those coming to Central straight from high school, enrolled for nine or more hours or completing a degree program are expected to live in university housing, unless living with their parents or a close relative.
The default status for students is to live with a roommate. Room assignments are made for the year; however, if changes are necessary, arrangements may be made with the Residence Director. Central reserves the right to move students for appropriate reasons.

Cafeteria
In order to ensure that students are receiving nutritious and delicious meals, Central has an in-house cafeteria that serves 16 meals a week: breakfast, lunch, and dinner on weekdays, and brunch on Saturdays. Most meals involve a self-serve buffet featuring several options for entrees and sides, including a salad and dessert bar. Cafeteria facilities also accommodate to-go meals.
The cafeteria is located in Pelfrey Hall, the heart of campus. It is a large, open space with plenty of seating and a wide variety of food options.
Cafeteria Meal Plans
Our cafeteria meal plans are designed to fit each student's lifestyle. Students can customize their plan based on their needs. We offer the following plans:
- 16 meals/week, the maximum meals offered in the cafeteria
- 10 meals/week
- 5 meals/week
The meal count resets each week. See the cafeteria plan pricing here. Students should purchase one cafeteria meal plan each semester.
