At Central Bible University, we believe that every student can make a difference in the Kingdom of God. Christian Service is designed to help students live out the mission of SEAL by serving faithfully, engaging meaningfully, aspiring toward Christlike maturity, and leading wherever God calls them. Through these experiences, students gain practical ministry skills, discover their gifts, and prepare for a lifetime of Kingdom impact.

Christian Service is an important part of the Central experience. Our goal is not simply to fulfill a requirement, but to help students develop a lifelong commitment to serving Christ through the local church and their communities, regardless of vocation.

Christian Service Requirement

All students are required to complete 60 hours of Christian Service during each academic year. The Student Services Office tracks and supports student participation throughout the year.

Service Opportunities

Students may fulfill their Christian Service requirement through a variety of ministry and community engagement opportunities. Both volunteer and paid ministry positions may qualify. Any compensation arrangements are made directly between the student and the ministry or organization. The University does not negotiate wages or reimbursements.

Qualifying service opportunities may include ministry through a local church, the University, parachurch organizations, or community service initiatives.
